The upcoming Hyundai Tucson is inching closer to its debut, and early spy shots suggest a major shift in styling. Hyundai appears to be moving toward a more upright, squared-off design that gives the SUV a tougher and more modern presence on the road.


The next-generation Hyundai Tucson is already in development, and early spy shots reveal a major shift in styling. Despite heavy camouflage, the fifth-generation Tucson clearly adopts a boxier and more rugged design, aligning with Hyundai’s newer SUV language. This fresh look marks a noticeable departure from the current model’s curvy, futuristic profile.

Mechanically, the upcoming Tucson is expected to retain a familiar engine lineup. A naturally aspirated four-cylinder will likely remain the base option, while hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants continue to top the range. With turbocharged engines falling out of favor in the compact SUV class, a non-hybrid turbo seems unlikely unless it’s tuned for higher efficiency.

The official reveal may not be far away, as development appears well underway. More details about powertrains, features, and final styling are expected to emerge within the next year.
